Be the Bomb

For Not Rocket Science, Design Stack started with a rigorous discovery process, understanding the protein category and the different ways people use protein, from serious fitness enthusiasts to those simply looking for an easier way to make better nutrition part of everyday life. We saw an opportunity to make nutrition simpler, more relatable and more fun, true to the spirit of Not Rocket Science.

This led to the strategic platform Challenge the Routine.
Our design approach, Be the Bomb, gave that thinking a clear attitude and a playful edge.

We created a signature blast graphic that holds the simple NRS logo, turning it into an ownable brand asset with plenty of energy.

For Protein Water, we turned up the attitude with a hyper-fluorescent palette, bold playful typography and energetic graphics. The front of pack is all about impact, while the side keeps things simple, with information neatly organised into clear sections that make the product and its benefits easy to understand.

For Protein Punch, the dairy protein, we took a bold, confident approach with warm colour, punchy typography and strong product-led messaging. The protein quantity takes centre stage, alongside clear front-of-pack cues such as zero added sugar and lactose-free. The overall expression feels energetic and performance-led, with plenty of attitude.

The Plant Protein takes a more expressive route, using illustration, vibrant colour and a more natural visual language to connect with an everyday healthy lifestyle. Across both, the information is kept simple and easy to navigate, with clear hierarchy and neatly organised sections that help consumers quickly understand the product, flavour and nutritional benefits.

A strategy that challenges the routine,
translated into a design that makes an impact.
